ITS CHRISTMAS AGAIN!

We always celebrate Christmas during December,the last month of the year. It is the time where Jesus Christ,our saviour was born.

Evey one is so excited with Christmas,people will decorate their houses with colorful lanterns , put a Christmas tree inside and also Christmas lights. Every night,many children will go out and visit some houses to have some Christmas caroling in order for them to earn money for Christmas.

Loving, sharing and forgiving are the true essence of Christmas.Love each other, share your blessings and forgive what people had done wrong to you. We must not only do these during Christmas but also do these for the rest of the year.

The best gift that I can give to our community this Christmas is to become a good citizen and I will share what I have right now to the people and to my environment.

VALUES MONTH CELEBRATION

"Good morning Ilocos Sur National High School!,Mabuhay ang Values Club!," That was the words of Mr.Joseph Obrero, the host of morning trivia every morning during the flag ceremony. That program was participated by all the students of ISNHS. He always tell those words to get the attention.

Every November, we always celebrate the Values Month Celebration, and every student was seemed to be excited because the Values Department will conduct different activities .Some of them are the kite flying, sayawit, poster slogan making contest, essay writing contest and many more. The theme for this celebration is "Pagpapatibay sa Pagkataong Pilipino , Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon."

To start the celebration,the Values Department sponsored the First Friday Mass held at the ISNHS gymnasium.After that, the celebration has began. They also conducted a film viewing for all the students of ISNHS. Different movies were played and all of them has its moral lessons.

That was a great job!Everybody enjoyed it.Congratulations to all the officers and teachers of the Values Department.

SECOND QUARTER IN TLE IV

As time goes by, our subject in TLE IV becomes more exciting. This grading period, Mrs. Vera Cruz, our teacher introduced to us about HTML or the hyper text mark- up language. It's so amazing to make or to design web pages so I really enjoyed doing our activities on HTML.

Designing web pages using notepad is not that easy. You will be confused while doing your work. You must start with a start tag and there will always be an end tag to complete the process of designing, but although its hard, I still enjoyed it. I learned a lot of lessons this second grading period, and I hope that it will be more exciting as we move on to the next topic.

Proving on, I will study all my lessons for me to gain more information to make sure that I will become a knowledgeable person.

MY TEACHER, MY HERO

We all know that our school is our second home and our teacher is our second parents.

We go to school everyday to learn and for every school we entered, we encounter different teachers. They are different in their own techniques or ways in teaching. Some are kind and some are strict, but even though they're not the same, we must treat them fair.

Teachers are one of the instruments for our success. We need their guidance and intelligence for us to learn.

We call them hero because they are always there whenever we need them. They give advices if we have problems regarding our family, friends or whatsoever. They make us happy if they see that we are lonely and also they correct our mistakes.

We must thank them for every lesson that they will teach us.

MY TEACHERS IS MY SECOND PARENTS AND ALSO MY HERO.

ADAPTING TO DIVERSE SCIENCE CULTURE FOR DEVELOPMENT

Right at your home, your television, cellphone/telephone and other appliances do great things for you. Do you realize what these things are?

Have you heard about heart transplant? Do you know of new medicines that can control communicable diseases?

These things became possible because of the work of many scientists. They are the persons who are specialist in doing research and investigation using their skills or talents.

These technologies makes our work easier, they are very helpful to us. Creating too much of these can lead us to development but there is a possibility that it can kill us too. We all know that too much is dangerous so we must minimize our work.

Always remember that different science cultures must adapt for the development of our environment.

BUWAN NG WIKA

Every August, we celebrate our "Buwan ng Wika,"and the theme for this month is "Wikang Filipino Mula Baler Hanggang Buong Bansa".

We have several dialects here in the Philippines, some of them are Iloco, Waray, Bisaya, Bicolano, Pangasinense and others. We have also our National Language and that is Filipino.

We must learn how to speak in Filipino so that we can easily understand one another. All Filipinos from Baler up to the last island of the Philippines have better and easier communication because we have our National Language. Our former President Manuel L. Quezon was the one who declared Filipino as our "Wikang Pambansa".

Our National Language also makes other people know our nationality. There are so many Filipinos who are working in abroad and because they are in the other country,they must use other dialects in speaking. There is a possibility that they will forget their own Language. If we will go there and accidentally they heard us talking using the Filipino Language, they will easily identify that we came from the Philippines.

Filipino Language is the key of our national identity.

"OUR FIRST QUARTER IN T.L.E."

On our First Quarter in T.L.E subject, I learned lots of things. we discuss about the Internet, world wide web (www), some personalities who are involved with the Internet and many more. Our teacher, Mrs.Evelyn Vera Cruz ,gave us an activity about the NIIT and we answered it using the Internet. we are improving our skills every time we use the computer.

we cant avoid to have problems on our subject. sometimes, the Internet is not in good, also with the computer units so we cant post our drafts on our blog. Every workstation have three members but our workstation was destroyed so we must join another workstation. Now, I am in workstation no. 2, and we are now four members in that w.s. ,we should have to wait for our turn to use the computer. It's hard for us because we consumed lots of time to wait for our turn.

Proving on I will continue my good studies in T.L.E.Actually,it is one of my favorite subject in our school so I must study hard for it.

"SPEAK TO ME IN ENGLISH OR TAGALOG"

There was a campaign done by the Filipino and English Department last month. It was all about the Filipino and English language and all of the students of Ilocos Sur National High School must use it inside the campus.

The purpose of the speak to me in English or Tagalog campaign is to develop the skill of students in speaking. Many students are interested with this campaign so they are using this two languages when they are talking with somebody, but the other just ignored it and they still use the Ilocano language. English is our International Language so we must try our best to learn to speak in English . Tagalog also is our language here in the Philippines, so if we want to communicate with other Filipinos, we must learn also to speak in Tagalog properly.

Speaking is one way of expressing our feelings and it is also one way to communicate with others so it is very important to us.

STAY HEALTHY

"Wastong Nutrisyon Kailangan,Lifestyle Disease Iwasan," this is the theme for these nutrition month celebration and it means a lot for me.


Eating is one of our favorite habits,we cook different foods or dishes everyday like meats,vegetables,fish and lots more. Do you think that all the foods we are eating is good to our health? Maybe most of them is yes but the rest is not. Remember that eating nutritious food will protect us from diseases or illnesses and it will guide us to success. We have ours goals in life and to achieve it we must be a healthy person. Tell ourselves that eating junk foods or foods that are not nutritious can destroy our health and also our future. "Health is Wealth," so take good care of it. Say no also to drugs ,alcohols and cigarettes because it can cause death.


In general, we should have our good nutrition in order for us to have a good health or a healthy lifestyle and to avoid different diseases.
